When Fabrizio learned of a female dog that was stabbed in the market butcher shop and was severely bleeding, he flew to the rescue. The harmed dog fled up Palacio and Grau street. They found her near the cemetery. Fabrizio and his friend tied her mouth for safety and transported her by moto-taxi to his vet clinic. All the while, the dog remained calm and docile. On route, she began to bleed profusely. Fearing she would not survive, Fabrizio held the wound with both hands and pressed on it to stop the bleeding. The moto-taxi was a pool of blood. With no time to lose, at the door of the vet, Fabrizio kneeled on the sidewalk with his tweezers trying to stop the rapid blood loss.
They took the dog inside the clinic, sutured and treated her with IV fluids. The police were called and took note of the animal cruelty complaint. The owners of the dog arrived at the clinic. Fabrizio was surprised to hear that the dog was 12 years old as she seemed so much younger! The pet owners were happy to be able to take their sweet, old lady home.
This story may invoke some feelings of anger towards the person who harmed this innocent animal. It's not about crucifying whoever did this. The indifference towards street dogs and cats is a problem that is pervasive throughout society. Dogs are lovely. They shouldn't be on the street, they shouldn't be poisoned, they shouldn't be run over, females should not be drowned.
We took dogs out of nature to serve us. They are our responsibility.

Cuando Fabrizio se enteró de una perra que fue apuñalada en la carnicería del mercado y estaba sangrando severamente, voló al rescate. El perro herido huyó por las calles Palacio y Grau. La encontraron cerca del cementerio. Fabrizio y su amigo le ataron la boca por seguridad y la transportaron en moto taxi a su clínica veterinaria. Todo el tiempo, el perro permaneció tranquilo y dócil. En el camino, ella comenzó a sangrar profusamente. Temiendo que no sobreviviera, Fabrizio sostuvo la herida con ambas manos y la presionó para detener el sangrado. El moto taxi era un charco de sangre. Sin tiempo que perder, en la puerta del veterinario, Fabricio se arrodilló en la acera con sus pinzas tratando de detener la rápida pérdida de sangre.
Llevaron a la perra al interior de la clínica, la suturaron y la trataron con líquidos intravenosos. Se llamó a la policía y tomó nota de la denuncia de crueldad hacia los animales. Los dueños del perro llegaron a la clínica. ¡Fabrizio se sorprendió al escuchar que la perra tenía 12 años porque parecía mucho más joven! Los dueños de mascotas estaban felices de poder llevar a su dulce y anciana a casa.
Esta historia puede invocar algunos sentimientos de ira hacia la persona que dañó a este animal inocente. No se trata de crucificar a quien hizo esto. La indiferencia hacia los perros y gatos callejeros es un problema generalizado en toda la sociedad. Los perros son encantadores, pero no deberían estar en la calle, no deberían ser envenenados, no deberían ser atropellados, las hembras no deberían ahogarse.
Sacamos perros de la naturaleza para que nos sirvan. Ellos son nuestra responsabilidad.
